Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • How does pre-sale work?

Pre-sale is open now. No voucers are nescessary to order a ticket. If we come to the capacity limits of our infrastructure, the sale will end.

  • I am a member of the press, an agency, working on a documentary or similar. Are press tickets available?

As a press member, you can register to the press team under presse(at)ccc.de.

  • I want to bring my children. Do they need tickets?

Due to the complicated situation regarding the protection of minors, there are no tickets for children.

  • I want to create a bot for rc3.world. Do I need a ticket for the bot to access the rcc3.world?

No. To get bot access to the rc3.world please contact hub(at)rc3.world.

  • Why do i have to give my address for purchases?

VAT for online events has to be calculated and paid in the customer's residential country. So we are forced by tax laws to register the address and generate an invoice based on the local sales tax.

  • Is there any difference between the types of tickets available?

The only difference is the amount of support you are providing rC3. With more support, we can use better hardware, provide a better infrastructure and the whole event becomes more fun.

  • I live outside the EU and want to buy a supporter ticket.

Unfortunately, we can’t offer supporter tickets outside of the EU. We are thankful for all your requests and your willingness to support us. If you want to do good, feel free to donate something to a charity of your choice.

Sale and payment

  • Will day tickets be available?

    No.

  • How do I pay for my supporter ticket?

We accept bank transfer and credit card payments via Stripe. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any other methods of payment (such as cheques, Bitcoin or cash).

  • Do I need to pay for my supporter ticket upon ordering?

Yes. As soon as you have completed your order, you are shown the payment target date. Please bear in mind that bank transfer may take a few days and can only be processed on weekdays.

  • I accidentally provided an incorrect payment reference. What now?

Please contact us at rc3-tickets(at)cccv.de and tell us the correct payment reference, the one you incorrectly provided and the name under which the bank account is registered. Please do NOT make a second transfer.

  • How can I check if my payment has been successful?

You will almost instantly see if your credit card payment has been successful. Bank transfer takes some time, so please be a little more patient if you have chosen this method of payment. You will receive an email if your order status has changed.

  • I need an invoice for my ticket.

You must provide an invoice address when ordering. You can request an invoice from your order details page. If you are unable to download your invoice or if you have any other questions, please contact us. Also, please bear in mind that German invoices generally do not contain an invoice address if the amount is below €250 and are valid without it.

  • I want to change my invoice address.

If there’s an error in your invoice address, please change your invoice address in the web interface and contact us. We will then issue a new invoice.

We cannot change the invoice address to a completely new recipient, for example changing the recipient to another company is not possible.

Please bear in mind that German invoices are valid without an invoice address if the amount is below €250. We will therefore not include an invoice address for amounts below €250.

    Our address is:
Chaos Computer Club Veranstaltungsgesellschaft mbH (CCCV GmbH)
    Marienstraße 11

  • I am ordering from an EU country and want to provide my VAT ID to receive an invoice with 0% VAT.

If you have a valid VAT ID, you can provide it when ordering. We will then issue a reverse charge invoice.

For organisational reasons, this year we can only accept orders from within the EU.

    Our bank’s address is:
Postbank – eine Niederlassung der Deutsche Bank AG
